About the event
Theme: The theme for this competition is “Talk Yo Spit” Poets are encouraged to share their authentic voice and personal experiences through their poetry.
Submission Guidelines: Submit your original spoken word poem in audio formation. At least 90% of the poems has to be in English NOT musical accompaniment.
Deadline: The deadline for submissions is by mid night May 21, 2024. Late entries will not be accepted.
How to Submit: Go to the Upcoming event section of The Popup Poetry Spot website (or list the link below) Register for the competition. Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation email with the final steps.
Judging Criteria: Poems will be judged based on delivery, authenticity, emotional impact, and overall performance quality.
Prizes: The 1st place winner will receive $100 via cash app. Three runner up poets will receive honorable mention.
